We are seeking passionate writers to join our columnist team. If you have a gift for storytelling, deep love for music, and a commitment to community engagement, we want to hear from you.

Our mission is to magnify the spotlight on underrated artists and those from marginalized communities. We believe in using art and journalism as tools for change, and we’re looking for columnists who share that belief.

This opportunity is offered as part of its long-standing commitment to fostering the next generation of culture journalists and intentional curators.

Program Details

Internship Supervisors: Tal Kamara (Founder & Administrator), Donald Letterman (Lead Editor), Jocelyn Motley (Event Planner & Outreach Coordinator)
Program Format: Hybrid (Synchronous virtual meetings, On-the-ground reporting when possible, in-person events)
Duration: Ongoing with semester-based commitments, flexible hours

Columnist responsibilities include:

• Publishing weekly posts to the SoundFynd Instagram feed
• Writing feature articles for the SoundFynd blog
• Supporting playlist curation
• Participating in weekly synchronous team meetings for collaboration, workshops, and strategic planning
• Attending concerts with press/media credentials and producing coverage for SoundFynd platforms

Columnists receive weekly feedback and mentorship directly from our executive team.
